Eldmessa is a short documentary film on the Laki eruption in 1783-84 and its consequences. The film is made by mixing 3D material, video stock footage, photographs and video footage shot on lobation. It was produced by Gagarin for Skaftáreldar ehf, an organization created for the purpose of promoting the history of this catastrophe. The projects supervisor is Hringur Hafsteinsson.
The first screening of the film took place at Askja, the Natural Science at University of Iceland, on mars 5th 2009.
